Install Memory for a Dell Inspiron 2100 Memory Module.The only way to expand the memory on the Dell Inspiron 2100 laptop is to replace the default module with one that has a larger capacity. There is only one memory module on this laptop, and it's mounted on the motherboard, which makes this procedure slightly more difficult than installing base-mounted memory. Though this is the case, the module is easily accessed and the job shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes to perform.

* 7
Locate the memory module in the middle of the space vacated by the keyboard and spread the retainers on it so that the module pops up at an angle.
