A circulating nurse is a kind of surgical nurse circulating in the operating room to monitor the proceedings. He or she acts as a patient advocate, ensuring that the conditions in the operating room remains safe and sterile. Nurses also circulating a range of other tasks ranging from helping to create the operating room for surgery to complete the documents relating to the operation. The nursing career requires a very fine attention to detail and a lot of stamina, as the circulating nurse must be present and active throughout surgery.In an operating room, there are two areas: the sterile field and non-sterile area.
