With this kind of advertising, you need to have a budget in order to do this kind of marketing. So I always prefer SEO rather than PPC. I always do some link building to my site.. Normally I do blog posting, forum posting and social bookmarking.. I also do some article submission.

For this type of advertisment you need to have the enough budgte for running ppc comaign.It is expensive way of online advertising but the more effective way.For more info about ppc managment click here
