Martin & Martin Eyewear was founded by Martin Lehmann and Martin Stempel in 1997. Martin & Martin school age friends decided to go into the world of eyewear together. They started networking in Germany. They developed a completely new frame design in cooperation with an African-German artist this was the beginning of the collection. While exhibiting at the Pret-a-poter fashion show in Paris and a new idea was developed to create a timeless and very charismatic collection using black and white transparent acetate material. Consequently the collection was launched and has been quickly spreading amongst eyewear boutiques all over the world. The company has increasingly positioned itself as a small but highly creative and innovative frame design house creating not just quality products, but a whole lifestyle concept and feeling.
