As most of you already know, the [/size]WhatsApp[/color][/size] application is currently owned by Facebook. We’ve seen many changes that have been brought to the application since the new owner has purchased it, such as new features and options.[/color]
[/size]Unfortunately, the WhatsApp application will soon stop functioning for some devices. Facebook claims that it needed to do this in order to further develop the application with new features and options, which can’t be supported by some old devices running on an outdated operating system.[/color]
[/size]We need to remind you that the WhatsApp application was supposed to stop supporting these devices by the end of 2016, but for some reason, the developers have decided to end it on June 30, 2017 [/color]
[/size]According to the official announcement that the developers of WhatsApp have made, the application will stop functioning on the following devices/operating systems:[/color][/size]BlackBerry OS (including BlackBerry 10);
[/color]- Android 2.1 and Android 2.2;
- [/size]If you still want to keep using the WhatsApp application on your device, you will need to either purchase a new device or install a new OS version (http://blissinstalls.com/357901) on your device (if it is possible). It is expected that many users will start purchasing new devices, especially low-budget ones, in order to keep on using the WhatsApp application.[/color]
[/size]We remind you that there are over 1.2 billion monthly active users, which clearly means that most of them will probably decide that it is time to purchase a new handset, even if they need to do it just because of this application.[/color]
