Title: How To Renew an Expired Green Card ?
Post by: h20mysticshadow on June 25, 2012, 12:02:19 PM
The Green Card Renewal (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/greencard/renewal-green-card-Form-I-90-replace.jsp) Application Form:

The only way to renew your expiring Green Card is to file Green Card Renewal Form (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/greencard/renewal-green-card-Form-I-90-replace.jsp) I-90/renovación de green card (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/greencard/renovacion-de-green-card-forma-I-90.jsp), Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card.   In the meantime, if you need confirmation of your status so that you can work or travel, you can make an appointment with your local USCIS/USIS (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/immigration-articles/usis-uscis-ins-immigration-and-naturalization-office/index.html) field office through Infopass to get a temporary I-551 stamp on your passport until your new card arrives.  This temporary proof of status is good for one year and that’s good since it may take that long to receive your new Green Card.

For more details please visit your nearest immigration (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/index.html) office or your local USCIS office like for example USCIS Vermont Service Center (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/uscis/uscis-service-center-vermont.jsp) and get your USCIS forms (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/uscis-forms/uscis-forms.jsp) to begin your application.
