Title: Is it necessary to have your windows user account password protected?

Hi there I was wondering are there any real benefits to having your windows account password protected. I live alone and no-one else accesses my laptop so I was wondering whether it was really necessary? Can anyone reset windows server 2003 password (http://www.resetwindowspassword.com/reset-windows-server-2003-admin-password.html)?
