Important to file Form I-751 on time!
90 days before the conditional GC expires you are supposed to file the Form I-751. Since you can't jointly file you need to apply with a request that the joint filing requirement be waived. Also when you may file late with a written explanation and request excuse from USCIS. Make sure you have copy of the divorce decree also along the Form I-751 (http://www.uscitizenship.info/greencard/I-751-remove-conditional-green-card.jsp). Also if you have proof for why you divorced would be a added advantage you get a waiver.
