A VISA bulletin is a chart published every month by the Department of State showing which
priority dates are presently being processed. For most immigrant petitions, a priority date is
the date the USCIS received the application.
If an application is filed today, you can expect results within the year. Not bad compared to
the average waiting time of 5 years under the EB3. EB2 is also viable because most Filipino
workers are already qualified due to the years of work experience in their respective fields.
Lastly, having an advanced degree or equivalent (Bachelor’s + 5 years) is not enough to file
the petition in EB2. The job must also require it as a minimum.
