Post by: jamesrayenz on February 12, 2011, 05:07:44 AM
cardiac telemetry monitoring is continuous heart rate and pace a patient that occurs in a remote location, usually a nursing station in a cardiac telemetry service. This service is offered to patients recovering from cardiac events, patients may be at risk of cardiac events, and patients suffering from heart problems in the course. Some hospitals have special wards for cardiac telemetry, to recognize that heart problems are common, while others may provide telemetry heart through a telemetry network or as part of standard care in intensive units. In telemetry and critical care, data are collected in one place and transmitted to another. In the case of cardiac telemetry, the patient wears electrodes on your chest that are connected to son and a telemetry transmitter. The transmitter sends signals to a monitoring station, where they can be supervised by nurses and cardiologists.
