Who should file Immigration Form I130 (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/uscis-forms/Form-I-130-Petition-Family-Greencard.jsp)?
A citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States can file this form with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to establish the existence of a relationship with certain foreign relatives who wish to immigrate to the US. Filing Immigration Form I-130 (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/immigration-articles/immigration-form-i130-petition-for-alien-relative/index.html) Keep in mind that green card renewal (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/greencard/renewal-green-card-Form-I-90-replace.jsp) are necessary every ten (10) years. If your Green Card is set to expire within the next six (6) months, then it is time to file a Green Card renewal application (Form I-90). Remember though that you cannot file Form I-90 more than six (6) months in advance of your expiration date; if you do, then the USCIS will return your application without review.
