The USCIS is required by law to conduct fee reviews every two years. Critics point out that the frequent USCIS fee increases (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/blog/2010/10/filing-fees-will-increase-on-november-23/) have not been accompanied by any improvement in customer service on the part of USCIS and that USCIS has taken no meaningful measures to streamline its budget.
