Title: USCIS Filing Fee will Increase on November 23, 2010
Post by: anderson24 on October 27, 2010, 02:22:06 AM
The USCIS is required by law to conduct fee reviews every two years. After such reviews, the USCIS raises filing fees (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/articles/uscis-raises-filing-fees/index.html) if it is determined that budget levels necessary to administer the nation’s immigration laws, process immigration benefit requests and provide the infrastructure needed to support those activities require it.

If you are eligible, it is highly recommended to file your USCIS application or petition prior to November 23, 2010 to avoid the USCIS filing fee increase (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/articles/uscis-filing-fees-to-increase-after-november-23-2010/index.html).

Critics point out that the frequent USCIS fee increases (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/blog/2010/10/filing-fees-will-increase-on-november-23/) have not been accompanied by any improvement in customer service on the part of USCIS and that USCIS has taken no meaningful measures to streamline its budget.
