There was several ways to obtain new Green card (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/greencard/index.jsp). Not all ways are easy to obtain green card, there are certain requirement.

• Winning a lottery program.

• Employment-Based Green Card.
• Refugee Status or Asylum may apply for a Green Card.

For winning an lottery, your country should qualify to participate in the DV lottery program. Family based Green card is another way to obtain Green card (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/greencard/index.jsp)(only immediate relatives) can be in the petition or sponsorship. The US Citizen can petition for Spouse, Mother or Father, Brother or Sister, Son or Daughter.
