it sucks living in a rental bedroom because you cannot paint the walls or change the ugly light fixtures. it is a frustrating problem because the space never truly feels like your own home. focusing on temporary home decor like peel and stick wallpaper and nice bedside lamps makes a massive difference. i found some renter friendly bedroom ideas on ourhousemanual that did not involve damaging anything. adding a big colorful area rug and leaning a tall mirror against the wall completely refreshed my room without risking my security deposit.
