There are many diet recommendation you will hear with people regarding Stoma. After the surgery, try avoiding food rich in Fiber. Also, don't consume too much of cheese, fat, and spices. Take care of your stoma. Clean it every day with proper instruction that your nurse may have given you.

Bonus Suggestion: Buy quality Ostomy Belts (http://www.ostomycares.com/ostomy-belt.html) which prevent leakage.

most people find that they are able to eat the same sorts of foods they ate before the operation. However, for several weeks after the operation, the bowel is healing and becoming used to functioning in a new way.
